HOW TO CREATE A BLOG USING BLOGGER

In my last article titled
"What you need to know before creating a blog" I discussed on what a blog is and the major difference between a blog and a website.
Today i will be writing on how to create a blog using blogger.
Although there are different types of blog platforms apart from blogger that allows people to create a free blogs.
 Some of them include:

(1) Wordpress
(2) tumblr
(3) Simplesite
(4) Medium
(5) Linkedln
(6) Posthaven
(7) Typepad
(8) Squarespace
(9) Ghost
(10) Googleplus
(11) Qoura
(12) Postach.io

Blogger is a blog-publishing service that allows free multi-user blogs with time stamped entries. The company was bought by Google in 2003. The blogs are hosted by Google at a subdomain of "blogspot.com".
Blogger allows its users to have up to 100 blogs per account.
Blogger has made the templates and layouts free and very simple for its users to access and toy with.
Creating a blog using blogger is very simple and requires no necessary knowledge of web development or design at all, although having knowledge of it, is going to be helpful, that is why anybody can be a blogger. Creating a blog with blogger is as simple and free as creating a facebook account.
Blogger allows its user to use their own domain free of charge unlike Wordpress.com which
 charges nothing less than $12 to use a custom domain.
Below are steps in creating blog with blogger.
(1) The first step is to visit www.blogger.com and click on "create blog".
(2) The next page it will load will take you to where you will sign into your gmail account, incase you don't have a gmail, then visit www.gmail.com to create an account.
(     (3) After signing in with your gmail details, a page will pup up like the one below, you will be required to create an account with blogger known as the blogger profile, here in the blogger profile, you either create a google plus profile or a blogger profile. I will advice you choose a blogger profile.

(3) After choosing the blogger profile, you will be taken to a page where to "confirm your profile", here, all you need to do is to type in your display name ,  this is the name that visitors reading your blog posts will see.

(4) The next page will show a page like the one below, this page is just a confirmation of your complete blogger profile registeration. click on create blog to goto the next page.

(5) The page below will be shown to you, this is where you set up your blogger title and also a blogger address. Sometimes you will insert many addresses, but you will get a message "This blog address is not available", don't be sacred, this is just telling you that the address you are trying to register is already registered on the blogger platform. So you will need to choose a new address for your blog. Immediately below the address box as shown below is where you will choose a befitting theme for your blog, there are so many of them. Themes are important as they beautify the blog, blogger has provided about 7 categories of themes for its users to use for free.

(6) Once your blog address is registered, you will see your complete blogger panel like the one below.

    And that is it, congratulations...................................you can now publish your posts and everybody around the world can read your articles.✉
