In order to manage your SEO, you have to define your meta tags and meta description correctly.
This meta tags are very important tool for SEO(Search Engine Optimization). Blogger has made meta tags very easy to define.

You have to understand that writing a very quality and unique content is not enough for having high traffic in your blog, you need to give information to search engines about your blog, and meta description or search description is the best way to do that.

The meta description is an HTML element which tells the search engines crawlers about your web page. Now, if your meta description is well defined, there are chances that your posts will appear at the top of search engine results.

So this is a very improtant tool for every blog, mostly new bloggers find it very difficult to optimize their SEO, thereby leading them to fall victims of various online scammers who will promise them quality SEO.

There are two ways to enhance the SEO of every blog, the first method is to define meta tags and the second method is to define meta description for each of your blog posts.

Below are steps you should follow to enable meta tags and meta description for blogger.


The first step is to enable meta tags for the homepage of the blogger. This is the general description of the blog in a few words.  To do this, follow the following steps


  • Go to Blogger dashboard
  • Scroll down to settings

  • Click Search preferences

  • You will see Meta tags and description below the meta tags, click on edit description

  • Click on edit description, describe your blog in a few words, and that will define your meta tags. 
Now we proceed to the second method which is to add a meta description to your blog post, the meta or search description is a brief description of your post using the main keywords of that post. To do this simply follow the instructions below:


Goto blogger dashboard and goto new post->search description

the search description is where you write your posts description using the main keywords of that post, this will prompt your page to appear at the top of search engine results.
