Today's article is a very interesting one, this is an article i have received several mails about from new bloggers trying to upload other files on their blogs apart from pictures and videos.
It is very possible to upload other file extensions on your blog irrespective of the blog platform either blogger, Wordpress, linkedin e.t.c
The Following steps will guide you in uploading a PDF file on Blogger
Firstly, you need to have an account with an online drive such as Google drive, Acrobat or any other online storage you know.
If you have an account with google then you automatically have a Google drive account since all google services is centralized.
1. goto www.drive.google.com , then you will login with your Gmail details and a page like this will appear.
Where you should click either New or My drive, this will take you to the type of file you want to upload, choose document or PDF.
2. After you have successfully uploaded your PDF file, click on the file you uploaded and scroll up, click on the link sharing logo, and enable "Anyone With The Link Can View This or public". Once this is enabled, the link to the uploaded file will appear, copy it.
(4) Now go to your blogger dashboard, then click on "New Post", Once your Post Layout appears, click on Link,
(5) Once You click on Link, a page like the one below will popup
Where you will be required to paste the URL that you copied, and the first box is text to display, what ever you write in the box is what will appear to people that will download your files, which means the link you copied will be embedded inside text to display. Once this is done, you then click on OK.
HOW TO UPLOAD FILES OF OTHER EXTENSION ON BLOGGER
If you want to upload a .docx, .txt or .tex file, you simply visit www.drive.google.com and repeat the same steps as above.
How Do I Upload An Android Application Or A System Software On My Blog For Visitors To Download?
To do this you have to understand that the Google Drive has no provision for you to directly upload an application be it an android or a system software.
So all you have to do is install the GPA zip software on your system or the Free Unrar software, these softwares are very simple to use, they are used to zip and unzip a software or app. You can get the zip app for android phones on Google Play Store.
Once the extension of your software or android app is converted to zip, it becomes very easy to upload it on Google Drive. Once it is uploaded, you can copy the link and paste in your blog post, same step as before.
